Food · Journal · Medical · Care —
four tabs that cover it all
Everything below is live in KinPaw today.
Food NUTRITION
Meals, treats, supplements and allergies — one tab, four groups.
- Personalized calorie (DER) targets — daily kcal from weight, neuter status, activity and lose/maintain/gain goals, pre-set from ideal weight and body condition
- Scan any label with your camera — kibble, treats or supplements: brand, calories and ingredients fill themselves in
- Fresh-food recipes portioned to your pet — allergy warnings built in, plus an AAFCO completeness score for anything you cook yourself
- My Recipe Book — the ingredients, how you made it, photos, and every batch you cooked with its yield
- Treats logged as given, not planned — half a treat counts, and the daily total shows what it did to the calorie budget
- Supplements with real numbers — the amount panel is read off the label, then every ingredient is added up across products so overlap is visible
- Daily calorie history — 14 days of what actually went in, against the target
Journal DAILY LOG
Just write a note. AI does the structuring.
- Free text → auto analysis — write "ate chicken this morning, keeps scratching his ear" and it becomes diet, symptom and stool data
- Photos take the lead — a photo feed and a photo-only grid, several shots per entry, tap to view full screen
- Correct the AI's tags — remove a diet or symptom tag that doesn't belong, add the one it missed
- Stool score tracking — digestive health on the Bristol scale (1–7)
- Filter and search — all / general / behavior / food / medical, by keyword or date
- Vet-visit prep builder — select entries and AI compiles a symptom timeline, observations and questions for your vet
- Monthly Paw Report — AI turns a month of entries into a warm recap: stool trends, health flags and the cutest moment
Medical RECORDS
One photo of a lab report becomes a lifelong medical record.
- Auto blood-work reading — upload a photo/PDF and values, reference ranges and flags are extracted, with plain-language explanations and emergency alerts
- Invoice import, by the stack — drop in years of receipts and they become visits, costs, meds and vaccines, read several at a time
- Invoices only suggest history — you confirm each one, and a suggestion can attach to an existing condition instead of creating a duplicate
- History as a case file — each condition on its own card, with the meds nested under the visit that prescribed them
- A summary screen to hand over — ongoing problems, meds, allergies, vaccines and weight on one screen, with its own KO/EN/ES switch so a foreign clinic can read it. PDF too
- Vaccines · meds · weight — due-date countdowns, course tracking, weight charts, certificate scanning and pinch-to-zoom on the original
Care TODAY
Only what needs doing today, in one view.
- Today's medication schedule — doses grouped by time, marked done in one tap
- Push notifications that arrive anyway — sent from the server, so they land even when the app is closed, in your language and time zone
- Turn each on or off — vaccines, appointments, grooming, medication and routines, separately
- "How did it go?" — once an appointment passes, the app asks, and your answer becomes the visit, grooming or vaccination record
- Phone calendar sync — vaccine, appointment and grooming dates land in your own calendar app and stay up to date
- Bath, nails, teeth & custom routines — set an interval for anything that repeats and see what's due, with vaccines sorted by urgency
Record lightly. Understand deeply.
Claude AI assists every input — less typing, more insight.
An assistant that read the records
Ask about your own pet, not pets in general — meals, weight, supplements and symptoms are already in front of it.
Food, treat & supplement labels
Snap the package — brand, product, calories and ingredients fill themselves in.
Blood work, decoded
Biomarkers are extracted from the report and abnormal values explained in plain words.
Journal auto-structuring
Casual notes become diet, symptom and stool data that accumulates over time — and you can correct any tag.
Suspected-allergy scan
AI cross-checks diet against symptoms across your journal to surface likely triggers for your review.
Supplements, added up
The amount panel is read off each label, then every ingredient is totalled across products — so a doubled-up vitamin is visible before it's a problem.
Vet-visit briefing
Scattered records become a symptom timeline plus a question list.
Records in your vet's language
Not just the labels — what you wrote yourself. Drug names are mapped, never invented, and the original line stays underneath so you can check it.
Monthly Paw Report
A month of journal notes becomes a warm narrative recap — trends, health flags and the cutest moment.
A real app, not a website in a shell
The things a bookmark can't do — reminders that arrive on their own, a lock on the door, dates in your own calendar.
Reminders that arrive anyway
Push comes from the server, not the app, so a dose or a due vaccine reaches you even with KinPaw closed — written in your language, on your time zone, and switchable per category.
Face ID lock & one-tap sign-in
Sign in with Google or Apple, then keep the app itself behind Face ID or Touch ID. Health records aren't for whoever picks up the phone.
Your own calendar, kept current
Vaccine, appointment and grooming dates go straight into the phone's calendar — and once they're there, the app keeps them up to date on its own.
Prefer the browser? KinPaw also runs at app.thekinpaw.com — same account, same records.
Even more, all in one app
Breadth that grows with your pet — every record in the same place.
Multi-pet households
Add every pet in the family — dogs and cats, each with its own profile, diet, records and reminders.
Weight trends
Log weigh-ins and watch the trend line; the latest weight auto-updates the calorie target.
Vaccine certificate scan
Snap a signed certificate or a stack of old receipts — vaccines, dates and lots fill themselves in, and the original zooms in when the print is tiny.
Clinics & visit invoices
Save your regular clinics with address autocomplete, and scan visit receipts to log cost, reason and meds automatically.
Breed profile & DNA scan
Photograph a DNA test result or record a visual estimate, with a size tier and breed-aware checklist.
Notification center & D-day
Every pet's medications, vaccines, appointments and grooming gathered in one inbox, with countdowns on the home screen.
Treats worth keeping
A treat catalog to pick from, curated homemade treat recipes portioned to the daily budget, and your own recipes saved beside them.
Help where you need it
A "?" next to the tricky bits explains the actual formula, backed by a full help center — in English, Korean and Spanish.
Feedback that gets answered
Send a note from inside the app and read the reply there; What's New lists what shipped since your last visit.

A one-line note, a photo of a report. The more you log, the sharper the AI.
Share with your vet

Made for owners like you
"I want to cook for him,
but worry about nutrition gaps"
"Lab numbers confuse me,
and the med schedule is a lot"
"How do I explain
his whole history to a new vet?"
Why you can trust the records
Established standards
Calories follow standard veterinary formulas (RER/DER); recipes are checked against AAFCO·FEDIAF nutrient profiles.
Safety-first design
If an emergency value is detected, diet suggestions stop and we point you to a clinic. AI reads invoices and suggests — you confirm before anything becomes a record. KinPaw is a record-keeping aid, not a diagnosis.
Your account, your data
Every record belongs to your account and can be exported as a PDF anytime. AI chats stay on the device that made them; delete your account and the data goes with it.
Coco is a rescue, so there is no record of her life before me. She is anxious and a sensitive eater, and with no history to explain why, I had to watch the small things closely — what she ate, how she did that day. Pulling those notes out of notebooks, camera rolls and half-remembered details is how KinPaw started. I wanted the years she has with me to be a little healthier, and a little happier. She is user number one.
